If there is any one thing that should be component to every womans exercise regiment it should be 2 days a week of 30 minutes of resistance training. The benefits are so important and relatively easy to achieve even with moderately light weights, everything from increased bone density, increased strength, decreased back pain, decreased arthritis, equivalent cardiovascular benefits to aerobics (both is better though), anti-aging, stimulates the immune system and more positive mental outlook and more. The great thing about resistance training is that short bouts of exercise are all thats needed and 2 sessions of 30 minutes a week can easily accommodate and enhance any other exercise program one is currently following. Dont wait, lift weight!
