If there is anything we need to prioritize come January, it is to GET A REAL AIR CARRIER TO SERVICE BETWEEN SAIPAN AND GUAM. No more excuses. Cape Air continues to cancel flights, like this mornings canceled flight that was scheduled at 8:40AM. It is unacceptable. How much more of this must we be subjected to? Please know this is nothing against the employees of Cape Air. This has everything to do with the owners of these outmoded, unreliable tin boxes that need to be RETIRED. The owners and management of Cape Air continue to say that our safety comes first. If that were really true, then why are they continuing to use these ancient planes that are always breaking down? Who are they trying to fool??? Our people deserve better. Our Legislature must work together with our Governor, Lt. Governor, and CPA in ensuring that our people get better service. Lets roll out the red carpet and open up competition for other airline companies. Waive or reduce landing fees and other associated fees if necessary. Pot fabot, our people are counting on us. Lord how I miss the good ol days of Continental Micronesia...
