If there is no other way for Christians (or Christian names) to have an influence in the government, but by becoming conformed to the world in their habitual principles and parties, then let the ungodly take the government and manage it in their own way, you go and serve God if youre truly a Christian. Afterall its never ours but Gods. I dare to say todays Christian politicians are not Christly but the world thinks Christianity is not better ... thereby mocking the gospel, bringing shame to Christ.
