Today he sent out a call to change your voter registration so that he can defeat his (now) two opponents in the Republican primary -- see the body of the email below. So, rather than change HIS voter registration and run as an independent (where there is no primary and anyone can vote for him) he now wants YOU to change your voter registration. The deadline to switch political party for the Annapolis City Mayoral Primary Election is this Monday, August 12, 2013. After the Primary on September 17th, you can then switch back to your original party as early as September 18, 2013 and still be able to vote for Mike on November 5th. Maryland Election Law states that only registered Republicans and Democrats may vote in any Maryland Primary Election. Any party member can vote for the candidate (regardless of party) of their choice on the November 5th General Election.
