If there was anything more disheartening read on a brick wall. Perhaps the early dreams of Utopia were only meant for men who wished to bend a world to their wills and whims. To burn women at the stake and civilize the savages of the new world. Not even the love and peace movement of the sixties brought the golden age of understanding many had hoped for. Now in this cute sandwich shop near a university I can read how the hopes and dreams of a nation, of a lost youth crashed and burned. Maybe the hippies and hipsters of today are buying overpriced coffee in the re-purposed wreckage of the Greatest Generation. We stand on the edge of more warfare. Yet maybe, just maybe this dream hasnt died or went anywhere. Maybe this Utopian society is a dream, one that is alive and thrives in the hearts and dreams of every man and woman. Maybe with every child we can feed, every animal that we can save, and every soul we can bring back from darkness we can make this Utopia real. It should be no place, then it can be any place and every place. There can be no limits if it is confined to a geographical location . Russia cannot invade Utopia if Utopia is free. Terrorist cannot rape Utopia if it is nowhere and everywhere simultaneously. One solid fact remains when you get past the dire warning of a person who has given up all hope. How one can look back on their works with let down and depression. We can take the fight back up, we can continue on the path anew. So we can prove that it wasnt in vain, it wasnt pointless and it can still be real. We must realize that a better world starts from within and from within these actions of just one being on the face of existence can make the changes. We must first realize our place within it. Embrace No Place and make it every place. Make it every altar, every god and everything. We are the only known species that can make the changes. We can beat starvation and poverty if we collectively try. We can end senseless violence, we can develop a world where we do not fear government entities and police states. It starts from within us, today and it ends with us tomorrow. I ask you, where is No Place for you?
