If there’s one thing I learned from being around weddings a lot - TopicsExpress

If there’s one thing I learned from being around weddings a lot is this: Family Comes First is the number 1 rule in Indonesian culture. I’ve learned that honoring and respecting family has been incorporated into every wedding tradition in our culture. I’ve learned to respect the culture and to ask the bride and groom about where they’re from, what formalities they follow and how they would like to be treated before I grab my camera. I’ve also learned that when dealing with the whole extended family, the key is to remember to be kind and to stay calm. Andreas and Yunita is the perfect example. They are both naturally very calm and everyone will marvel at how easily they handle the rowdiness of the whole big family at their wedding. They make handling the day look very easy, proving to me that staying cool, especially on the most important day of your life, is very important. This is a lesson I intend to keep and make use of during my own wedding later. Thank you, Andreas and Yunita, for sharing your happiness with me, and for sharing a life lesson. Staying cool will be my new mantra. Stay calm and have it your way! Cheers, Yosep
