If they need a new, true, unedited reality show, they need to send a crew here and tape what it is truly like to have care of a diagnosed mentally ill/dementia 79 year old, who knows what to do, but now just refuses because she just wants to stay in bed and die, since her family is all gone except for us grown kids (I havent seen any of my 3 brothers since christmas day), grown grandkids (who never come down), and a half-brother surviving, out-of-state but does come once a year? There are no more babies to keep her happy (she doesnt even get to see her only great-granddaughter and cries when she sees her photo on the wall and asks about her). There is no more money of $70-$100 to go get out of the bank daily and blow where ever she decided to go (antique stores/burger king). There are no more credit cards to buy $100,000s worth of shit you cannot even begin to recoup money from (goodwill in Ionia loves me, b/c that is where I finally dump it if Salvation army doesnt pick up). At AGE 75 she decided she wasnt using a tiolet anymore and her actual words to the doctor at his question of why she wasnt she using a tiolet were I dont have to, Krista will clean it up. If that is crazy, then I am totally off my rocker. She is making decisions of not doing it and totally fighting against having to do it. The only thing not a fight is eating food, but only if it is something she likes, otherwise it is thrown across the kitchen hitting refrigerator and walls. She doesnt want to live, but she doesnt want to die, either. It is like some kind of funky limbo world. As for family --- my truest family are all non-biological, best firends.
