If this comes off as a rant, I apologize in advance (as I am still very angry about the whole thing), but it is meant to Be Aware and Caution others. Friday afternoon between 3:30 and 4 pm my dog was in the back yard where she had to have eaten something toxic. She became Very ill and started vomiting and foaming at the mouth. the vomiting lasted an hour long after her stomach was empty, and she had bouts of what I can only consider as hallucinations, (digging at the interior walls and attacking the couch). Long story short; She did manage to pull through all of this, sleep it off and once the swelling in her throat reduced, I got her drinking lots of water. I have no doubt that a smaller dog would have died. (she is 100+lb, 11 month old puppy). However, the symptoms that she portrayed could be many things but were however all common Characteristic of Anti-Freeze poisoning. There is NOTHING in my yard that she could have gotten into to cause this and I feel that something was intentionally thrown over the fence. Although I have not spoken with anyone else this has happened to, I have heard through the grapevine that a few other families/dogs went through a similar ordeal this past weekend.
