If this group will allow me a wee text block, Id like to address guilty pleasures. After 50+ years of playing with vinyl, 25 as a buying/selling guy in storefronts, Im compelled to mention a bit of personal philosophy. No one should ever feel guilty, ashamed or embarrassed about what they might like to listen to (or read). Coming up through Western Swing, C&W, and 50/60s Soundtracks somehow got me well into Rock & Roll, all the way through into Classical. So, never buy into uncool. Put it this way; how do you even know you dont like something, if youve never even heard it? There are plenty of bands that Ive heard others sneer at, of which Im quite fond; example attached. Well, one mans Kiss is another mans Osmonds, heh. Listen to what you like and dont let anyone make you believe that you shouldnt.
