If this is not allowed feel free to delete! A few months ago, I took my 3 year old daughter to Community Pediatrics in Beaver Dam to get checked out for a possible UTI/Yeast infection. Dr. Man entered the room, and began the appointment without washing his hands. Ok, no big deal, benefit of the doubt he could have washed them before he came in, right? So getting in to the appointment he proceeds to check my daughters private area without wearing gloves. (Also..not such a big deal). After checking my daughters privates...he still does not wash his hands, sits down at the counter, starts typing on his computer, high fives my daughter, and opens the door to leave all with the same unsanitary hands that he still had not washed!!! So, seeing as he is not only dealing with peoples children, he has their entire well-being in his unwashed hands. How many people touched that door handle after he did, and what if she had had some contagious disease?! So! Being a mom-i decided to file a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Health...because um...he needs to be concious of the fact that hes being unsanitary. Today I took my daughter to Community Pediatrics Waupun office and was saw by Dr. Woman. We got through pretty much the entire appointment before she made elaborated on the fact that she had washed her hands...to which I replied At least you washed your hands...what happened next about knocked me off of my chair. She looked at me and said Yeah about that, we were working on a statement in response to that complaint, but we probably wont be able to see her anymore because when you filed a complaint you broke doctor - patient trust I said I broke doctor - patient trust??? I am pretty sure that trust was broken when he decided to be unsanitary! Hes dealing with peoples children! She then goes on to tell me that I dont have proof that he didnt wash his hands, and they have records showing that he does in fact wash his hands. She also told me that its my word against his and I have nothing to back up my claim but they have evidence to back up theirs and that its OK if he washes his hands before he comes in the room and she didnt wear gloves either. At this point Im starting to get angry and tell her I had a witness who was in the room and SAW him not wash his hands and that it wiuld have been ok for him to not wear gloves had he washed his hands AFTER he had touched her! I also told her that i would more than happily find her another Doctor due to the fact that she is not only making excuses for a Doctor to practice unsanitary behavior, but shes basically blantantly calling me a liar...after (I think) she realized she made a mistake and released Mama bear, she changed the subject, and left the room as quickly as possible without even so much as a Have a nice day. Looks like theres another complaint to be filed.. dont mess with me! Will NEVER bring my child anywhere associated with them ever again. Ridiculous!
