If this isnt allowed, just delete. But, this is how Im uplifted and I just had to share with my animal lover community. I recently moved to Florida and began volunteering at Save The Chimps, Inc. Ive busy getting my mobile business going, so I havent been here as much as Id like, but this is where I will relax in my new home. By the way, YOU can TOO! You dont have to volunteer on a regular basis. You can go through the process and go once a year. There are volunteers who can only go during Christmas break and they come from all walks of life from all over the country! Most of the time we do simple tasks like counting fruit! Or we make food enrichment toys for them to find, like a paper towel roll stuffed with treats. This has been one of the most amazing things Ive ever done that touched my soul. There are no words to describe how good it feels to know Im helping. (You DO have to sign papers stating you will not let a chimp touch you nor will you touch a chimp because they are 7 times stronger then us so the best intentions, including a hug, would be deadly so dont get any ideas) This is not open to the public. The chimps are in retirement and are protected from too much public exposure.
