View Online version Follow us MSC SINFONIA NOVEMBER 29, 2013 Important Announcement Regarding Possible Delay of Sinfonia on Saturday 30 November 2013 Dear Passenger, We feel it important to notify you, that due to very high winds forecast in Cape Town on Saturday the 30th November 2013, a strong possibility exists that entry in the Port of Cape Town by the MSC Sinfonia might be disrupted by wind. We encourage passengers travelling from outside the Cape Town region to check conditions of their transport arrangements to the port. As the port of Cape Town has limited facilities, we are encouraging our passengers to please check with us before proceeding to the port. We will not be able to give any confirmation of our arrival status until early tomorrow morning, but we will advise you as soon as we are informed. MSC Cruises has established a communication plan in order to keep you updated of the situation. We will send you regular updates via email, SMS and we will have updates on Facebook. Our call centre will be manned on Saturday 08:30 until 14:00 to assist with any enquiries 0860 11 44 11. In the event that the MSC Sinfonia is able to arrive into the Port on Saturday without interruption, we doubt very much that we will set sail on time, however in the event that this is the case all normal activities on the ship will continue and we of course will set sail as soon as weather permits. Please be advised, that a delayed sailing from Cape Town could result in our having to proceed directly to Durban. We sincerely hope that the weather will co-operate, and we are monitoring the situation very carefully, however we felt it to be the responsible thing to do to notify you of this possibility as we have been warned by the Maritime Authorities of a possible weather disruption.
