If this was your book, what would you name it? The story is the same—a virus broke out during an experiment gone wrong. The scientist was infected, and spread his disease to others until the World was overrun with zombies. Two years later, and the humans were close to extinction. A group of humans that survived the war put their lives in danger when they hunt the dead to keep others alive, unwilling to let the zombies win and to find a curse to restore what was lost. Yet this story has a twist. I’m Ayla, one of the humans fighting in the war, but for all intents and purposes I’m one of the dead. After being attacked while saving a friend, I defended myself from the hungry fiend but when I sliced open its throat, its blood ran down my throat. At first, nothing changed in me and I carried on defending those who couldn’t do so themselves. Then the changes began and I grew stronger, faster. And I hungered for flesh and blood. Yet not in the way you’re thinking. I don’t hunger for the live ones, those who help. My hunger is for the zombies. I can sense them all around me, know when they’re close and even understand the twisted words they use to communicate. I am Death in the flesh and will stop at nothing to kill those who were meant to have stayed dead when they died. This is my story.
