If we are going to be those who are not hindered by the enemy, we - TopicsExpress

If we are going to be those who are not hindered by the enemy, we will have to learn to let God arise so that He can fight for us. David uses this same language in Psalms 68. Ps 68:1 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: How do we let God arise in our lives? When is it appropriate to ask God to arise and how do we do it? It’s appropriate when we are being hindered, oppressed, made fearful, and when we doubt. It is necessary when we are under attack from the “accuser of the brethren.” We must let God arise when those fiery darts of the enemy dismantle our self-esteem and self-worth. How do we let God arise? We must first decide whether we are going to fight, run, or endure defeat. There must be a decision in us that says we are going to take the battle to the enemy. Years ago, Pastor Jimmy Dobbs told the story of a witch in his neighborhood who objected to him living in the neighborhood and proselytizing the neighbors. So, every morning she would cast a spell on him and put powder in front of his door. When he went out to get his paper, the powder would be there. He said at first it rattled him. But one day, he decided to take the battle to the enemy, so when he went out to get his paper, he danced in the powder. Every morning, when he went out the powder would be there and he would dance in it. After about a week, the powder was never there again. If God is going to arise and fight our battles, we will have to decide whether we are going to dance in the powder or not. Go ahead and dance. Let God arise.
