If we are not careful spiritual pride (blindness) can overcome us. This is why we must examine ourselves constantly...and then when the Holy Spirit shows us something we must purify ourselves. It really is not hard, we just have to be honest. But there is one thing I am deathly afraid of and that is to tell God that He is the center and all my love, focus and desire when I KNOW full well that this is not the case. That is dishonest, that is hypocrisy!!! Now, if others have no issue with this then that is on them, I personally cannot do it, I lived too many wasted years like this to go back to that vomit!!! So when the Spirit pricks our heart and says that we are being dishonest, the solution is not necessarily to stop singing in church for that would be foolish. No, we must stop and CONSIDER OUR WAYS, examine our hearts and if our heart does not line up with our words then we have to rend our hearts (repent) and turn our hearts again towards the Lord. But why is this so difficult for us to swallow? I mean, if churches that were planted and pastored by Paul and other apostles eventually needed to repent and return to their first Love, then who do we think we are? Why do we think we will never have too as well? Have the false teachers so thoroughly deceived us??? I dont know what the rest of yall think of all this, but personally I know I need a fresh, new awakening in my life. I need the Lords help big time! Perhaps there are others in here as well, and we can pray for each other? The rest of you who are perfect move right along, nothing for you to see here :-)
