If we are to be free then we must humanize our social experience. We must embrace our true nature that includes all of our personal imperfections. We will wander, we will forget, and we will be brave beyond our capacity. We will take risks that reach beyond logic and we will be driven by many voices – some seen and others not, some wise and others foolish. Our imperfections make us heroes, they make us dynamic and they imprint us as legends. We must be tolerant of mistakes – others and ours - every great teacher has told us so. We must create a society based on trust and stewardship and understand that mistakes can bring about accidental discoveries that will simply change things – and these changes require our engagement that will further define us as being unique in the cosmos. There will be sadness, error and even disaster, there will be sorrow and even angry reflection – but all of this is part of being human.
