If we dont dont fix the problems facing the world peaceably there will be violence. While the outcome of due process may be slow in coming, it is more sure than the aftermath of revolution. I hope that our divided nation can learn to work together before we fall apart. Every government comes to an end at some point, but I would prefer to see peace through the rest of my days. When people dont understand why the Chinese are so long suffering with regards their countries slow social and economic progress I think of their long and (fairly) well documented history of war. 宁为太平犬，莫做乱世人 better to live as a dog in an era of peace than a man in times of war. I dont feel that this is true (maybe because I have not seen war?), but it is an ethic that I can find no fault with. Hopefully the conflict in Mexico will be short and productive.
