If we have a look at what is happening now a days doesnt it just make you sad to see our once was beautiful game ruined.? The thought of us having to sell Barkley to a club that already has more depth and quality of players than most of the Premier league clubs combined makes my stomach turn. What has happened to our game? There is no way we could turn down that sort of money as we have no backing. We will never be able to compete like we did yesteryear without it. Makes me very disappointed to think we will never see our team lift the premier league trophy in my life time. Our ageing squad needs a massive re vamp and we simply cant do it. If we end up selling Barkley which i personally think we will, it will just prove to us that we really arent the club we once was and could be again. We need to keep him, but more importantly we need someone to inject some major cash flow into the club. We need a new stadium, training facilities, board, players (to add onto our younger superstars) and we need to be rid of old wood. The likes of Distin, osman, pienaar, hibbert and co. Until then, on average we are a mid table team, if we have an outstanding season we will maybe reach 4th, 5th, 6th. Thoughts on this blues..? Mick Dundee.
