If we have any fire history junkies out there, or just those of you who may be interested in digging a little deeper into the Yellow Point Fire location, you may have noticed that in the teams news releases, there have been references to a previous fire in the general area - the Oxbow Fire in 1966. Heres a link to a press release from the BLM in 2011 that refers to the rehabilitation in the area of the Oxbow Fire, 45 years later.
