If we truly want to accomplish what God has purposed for us it - TopicsExpress

If we truly want to accomplish what God has purposed for us it wont be through force. WE cannot force the Kingdom of God into the life of anyone. The Kingdom of God comes from a changed heart...and that is an inside job. Look around you...there is a lost and dying world....people desperate for one thing...Gods forgiveness. The problem is until they look at God from the inside out their lives go on. The Holy Spirit works from the inside out....to change the hearts of mankind...to lead people to the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done. You can sign all the petitions...attend all the meetings....even threaten retribution...political, or otherwise, and when you do all these things nothing of any real significance will be affected. People change only when they have an encounter with the love of God. It is up to us to reflect that love. When we behave in ways that do otherwise we negate the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was humble in that He always gave people choices. When the disciples asked for permission to call down fire on the unbelievers He reminded them that they should just be glad that their names were written in the book of life. When we spend our energies motivated by this principle we will truly reflect the Joy of the Lord and when others see the peace of God that is produced by this joy there is an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to woo them...to reveal the Truth to them. If they come to know the truth, the Truth will set them free! :)
