If we were able to incorporate the attributes of love, found in I Corinthians, into our relationships with our mates, our children, our neighbors, strangers, friends and coworkers.....we could change countless lives...We could be a soothing salve for the wounds caused by the world.. We could be a light for those lost in the darkness of sin...We could be a refuge for the fearful, the timid, the hurting, the struggling, the broken hearted ones, the lonely, the mentally challenged, those vulnerable because of youth or age......They are the antidote to hatred, judgement, labeling, shunning, gossip, grudges, unforgiveness, bitterness and pain.. What powerful words....what powerful life changing traits.....I seek these for my self....I am personally turned off by arrogance, greed, gossip...It was not part of my own family, growing up....my parents lived a simple life....did not seek fame or fortune...Mother was such a kind person to others........taught me that same trait....It was quite natural to her.... So when I fall short of these...it is disappointing....and I seek forgiveness for it....I try to regroup and repair what is broken in me....Hope this Scripture encourages you to get it right when we stumble. djn I Corinthians 13: 4-7......4. Love is patient, LOVE IS KIND and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5. does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6. does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7. bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Amen
