If you are a Democrat, a progressive or anyone who believes in big government, that the government has the right - the duty to protect people from their own actions, then Eric Garners death is on you. The city of New York sent armed police officers to make sure the city was able to collect its revenues. By definition, big government. NYC doesnt want people to smoke cigarettes, and by God if they do then NYC is going to collect exorbitant taxes on the sale of cigarettes. Mr. Garners crime, that required armed police to intervene, was meeting a market demand for a legal product. In NYC that is unacceptable. Think about it.
