If you are a company that provides a service to companies that uses software to organize the service, someday a large company whose been testing your service on a limited basis for a year might come to you and say that your service is high quality compared to who they have been with, but they are concerned with whether you can handle their volume at that same quality. Youd better be prepared to think how software might create efficiencies that would give them the confidence to give you a try. Then instantly with one new customer added to your 1000 customers, your volume per day is doubled. Then the large new company asks for more service and so you give them. Now you need them to add software so you can communicate with them better about some problems that are popping up here and there. Communication software proliferates allowing you to keep them happy, and not work your employees overtime and/or weekends. You are so glad that your website is object oriented and structured to allow for 25 years of growth without problem. Is your company planning on growth? Plan for it. Invest in it.
