If you are as into the ancient Greeks and Romans as I am you wont want to miss the Pompeii exhibit now at the Franklin Institute. This is a REALLY great presentation. One feels, as one walks through the exhibit, as though one is living with these people. The excellent arrangements and explanations of the artifacts makes it easier to know how they lived. They seem to almost come alive. I came away finally comprehending the why and how of the layout of a wealthy ancient Roman home, something I had always wondered about, but never fully understood. The exhibit made it very clear that their ancient gods and little hearth gods were very real to them, and very much a part of their lives. Fascinating.
