I dont mean to sound like a broken record....and I would not say it often if it were not SO IMPORTANT.....I would not start this unless I had read at least one book by one of these men..... Prof. Tim Noaks - at this for years Dr. David Perlmutter - at this for years Dr. Stephen Phinney - at this for 20 yrs! Dr Jeff Volek Dr. Ron Rosedale - at this for 20 yrs!! Dr. Jay Wortman - at this for 15 yrs! Jimmy Moore - Keto Clarity These can be your benchmark! You NEED a bench mark! Just like we have the Tanach....you need a benchmark in this! JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS YOU CAN HAVE 50 GRAMS OF CARBS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN!!! EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT! Starting with NONE is best and then allow your body to heal and then later, in some months, see if you can handle carbs. You are also going to get into ketosis faster. Try for 75-80% FAT....15-20% protein....and low carb Too high protein will keep you out of ketosis and make you gain weight! But to start, here are some food suggestions; Butter Olive oil Coconut oil Canned coconut milk Butter full fat heavy whipping cream REAL full fat cheese Butter Avocados Leafy green veggies Butter Broccoli onions, garlic bell peppers of different colors Butter Animal meat Eggs did I mention BUTTER?
