If you are going to rip the Presidents speech, watch it first. Its less than 15 minutes. Then, please distinguish between policy differences, if you have any, and the methods used to seek to implement these policies. I believe that the Presidents approach on this is wrong and is motivated by other than just a desire to fix the problem. But, I agree with many of his policy ideas. He worked with the Senate to block many of these same ideas under George W Bush when a Senator in 2007. I wish the President had simply asked the Senate to bring their bill forward again, which the Republican House failed to bring up for a vote for political reasons. It, or something very close to it, would have likely passed this time around. In doing this, he would have demonstrated his willingness to work with others. By taking the executive action, which I do not believe is the same as previous presidents as he claims, since those were all in the spirit of bills passed through Congress, I believe he is stirring up more strife, and purposefully so. Republicans must not take his bait. Opposition to the Presidents actions should be measured, level headed, and must move toward a proper resolution of the issues at hand.
