Arizona companies eager to become part of that long-term expansion should consider joining Beyond the Border: Arizona Trade Mission to Mexico City & Guadalajara the week of May 12th. Presented by the Arizona District Export Council and the U.S. Commercial Service, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority’s AZ STEP program, Beyond the Border will feature business-to-business matchmaking in both cities. Participating companies will have ample opportunities to meet potential customers, partners, representatives, distributors and more via the U.S. Commercial Service’s Gold Key Matching program. According to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, the best prospects for U.S. companies expanding into central Mexico are in the following industries: Agribusiness; Automotive; Construction & Housing; Education & Training; Energy; Environmental Tech; Franchising; IT Services; Packaging; Plastics; Safety & Security; Smart Grid Tech; Telecommunications; and, Tourism. Cost: The mission participation fee is $2,700 for one person from a company with fewer than 500 employees. This does not include airfare, hotel, meals and some local travel (such as your taxi during the two full-day Gold Key Matching programs). Additional people from the same company will each be charged a $400 participation fee. Companies with more than 500 employees will be charged $6,700 ($400 for each additional person).
