If you are keeping Indian game They need to be out running about or they get sluggish and fat. As soon as the breeding season is over I open all the breeding pens up and the birds free-range from about 7-30am till dusk. They all go back to the coops in their runs to roost. I run a number of pens of Indian along side my Improved Indian and Australorps, which feed back into my Welsh Black lines. Its a massive amount of work running as many pens as I do and its getting harder, as age is taking its toll.
