If you are like us, where the affordable health care act is going to force us to pay over $600 a month in JUST premiums for the privilege of a policy we wont use because of the outrageous deductible; and like us you dont qualify for the subsidy due to income; and like us youre going to opt for the penalty instead.... Please share this. And to anyone who wants to argue this is just like when auto insurance became mandatory I will say BULLSHIT, and heres why: 1. I can opt to not have a car and avoid having insurance. 2. I can choose to carry just the minimum liability (what would be the equivalent to a catastrophic plan). 3. I dont have to carry full coverage (comprehensive and collision) and finally, 4. I get to choose an AFFORDABLE deductible without jacking up the premium to a point where I cant feed my family. The ACA was a good idea in theory, but horribly implemented by people who dont have the fist clue about how to create a national, affordable, health care system for their citizens.
