If you are sick or in distress and you have prayed to God but you still feel unhappy, frustrated and hopeless then you can imagine one of the Awliya Allah whom you trust the most and by imaging him, you will be absorbed in his sincere prayers and meditation to God, and you will find peace, enlightenment, beauty, hope and happiness during your illness and trouble. ~ Yos Wiyoso Hadi ( Muharam 5, 1395AH - ) O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness through fana fi Awliya, fana fi nabi, fana fi lataif, fana fi Nur Muhammad] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed. ( Surat Al-Maidaah verse 35 ) Allah said, Truly, the heavens and the earth were too weak to contain Me, but the soft, humble heart of my believing slave contains Me. ~ Hadith Qudsi Tabarani has related from Abu Utbah al-Khawlaanee (r) from RasulAllah (saws) that, Truly, Allah has vessels from amongst the people of the earth, and the vessels of your Lord are the hearts of his righteous slaves, and the most beloved of them to Him are the softest and most tender ones. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam, Al-Albani rates this hadith mentioned as Hassan [Sahih al-Jami al- Saghir, no. 2163; Silsilah al-Ahadith al-Sahihah, no. 1691] If Allah would love his servant He would call Archangel Jibraeel (Gabriel) and tell him I love this person, therefore love him. And Jibraeel would love him and call out in the heavens Allah loves this person, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of the heavens would love him. Then he would be embraced by the people of this world. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam (Sahih Muslim) Narrated Abu Hurayrah (r): The Prophet (saws) said, If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying: Allah loves so and so; O Gabriel, love him. Gabriel would love him, and then Gabriel would make an announcement among the residents of the Heaven, Allah loves so-and-so, therefore, you should love him also. So, all the residents of the Heavens would love him and then he is granted the pleasure of the people of the earth. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) [Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73 #66] Follow those who ask no reward (nor praise) of you (for themselves), and they are [rightly] guided. ( Surat Yā-Sīn verse 21 ) A man came to the Prophet (saws) and asked him O Allahs Messenger, tell me of something I do to win Allahs love and peoples love. The Prophet answered: Do not love this world, Allah would love you and do not have a longing for whatever people have, people would love you. ~ Sayyidina Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wa-sallam ( Ibn Majah) Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise. ( Surat Yusuf verse 100 ) We raise in degrees whom We will, but over every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing. ( Surat Yusuf verse 76 ) Say [O Muhammad], O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not a custodian over you.
