If you are still thinking about nominations for the committee for the forthcoming AGM then the deadline is this Friday. At the moment we haven’t received any interest in the following positions – Social Events manager and Sponsorship manager. Both are very important positions if the club is to continue moving forward in a positive way and therefore it would be great to receive some interest particularly from new faces. Unfortunately Keith Mannering has decided not to continue formally as Pavilion manager and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Keith for all the fantastic work he has done in the last 12- 18 months. As far as I am concerned I will continue as Chairman if there are no nominations. However I do strongly believe that the role should be held by a playing member who will have considerably more regular contact with the membership than me. I would like to think that there is someone in our increased membership who could step up to the role and continue to take the club forward. The club is very fortunate to have a small and extremely dedicated group of members on the main committee and cricket sub committee so any Chairman is assured of their excellent support.
