If you are traveling to Abilene anytime soon, you can view PPHM artifacts in an exhibition at the Grace Museum running May 8 - Aug. 9, 2014 called Home on the Range: Where the Prairie Meets the Plains in Central Texas. Examples of our artifacts in the exhibition include: Charles Goodnight’s saddle, U.S. Model 1874 McClellan Cavalry saddle, a woman’s leather split riding skirt, the Goodnight rifle with the Bible inscription and the Quanah Parker Crescent Model 1873 rifle. 26 paintings are on display from artists: Frank Reaugh, F.M. Neal, Russell Vernon Hunter, Robert Farrington Elwell, Jim Ward, Jerry Bywaters, Harvey Wallace Caylor, John Clifford Cowles, H.D. Bugbee, Viola Craig McNabb, Edward G. Eisenlohr, Ben Carlton Mead, Alwyn Dysart, Frank Hoffman, Edward Borein, Bettina Steinke, Will James and Charlie Dye and other art and artifacts will be on loan from PPHM in this exhibition.
