If you asked me about my favorite TV series of 2013, Id say Top of the Lake. This year, its Transparent. How many comics are basically just about men with guns? I dont want to contribute to that, no no no no no How many movies are about the same? Went to see Nightcrawler -- 5 trailers in a row cis white males with guns, boom boom boom Boys and their dicks and castration anxiety comics and movies There are no guns in Interstellar Its an inspiring movie -- regardless of its problems -- because it points a direction towards imagination based on imagination Instead of imagination based on Call of Duty and war games we get taught -- especially if were boys -- since a very young age Makes sense that so many men try to solve problems with their guns/dicks when the primary narrative of problem-solving is be aggressive Time for new stories
