If you build it, he will come” – those are the words of a mysterious voice which tells Ray Kinsella (played by Kevin Costner) as he walks through his Iowa cornfield in the award winning movie, “Field of Dreams”. The voice was telling Kinsella to transform his cornfield into a baseball field and his long departed father, an avid baseball player, would come to the field. His family and friends thought he was nuts, but not only did his father’s spirit come to the newly built baseball field, so did the spirits of his baseball playing buddies. The field, which was located in the middle of nowhere, also attracted thousands of visitors. Next week’s guest on the Northeast Kingdom Voice had his own cornfield dreams – to transform a cornfield in North Danville, Vermont, into an amazing fun filled maze - the Great Vermont Corn Maze. The maze is Mike Boudreau and his family’s “Field of Dreams”. It is now one of Vermont’s great fall-time wonders. People come from near and far to get lost in the family’s maze.
