If you can read this and still want to be a part of perpetuating the animal holocaust that our pet industries combined with human irresponsibility and callousness have created, then you are one heartless, soulless creature indeed. DO NOT BUY PETS. ADOPT, RESCUE, REHABILITATE, TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE if you have to, but do not be a part of this cycle of murder. 9-11 million pets are euthanized in the US alone every year. Read this. Go spend a day volunteering at the shelter and be there to hold that animal before its given a lethal injection. Live with that and then see how you want to continue to conduct your life in relationship to other species. And if you eat meat, go visit a slaughterhouse, a factory farm, a charnal house of flesh production. Own how you live. Its the very least you can do and still call yourself a decent human being.
