If you concentrate the majority of your time blasting other artists or DJs publicly or indiscriminately that are getting booked because you arent... crying about you being more talented or oldskool that YOU deserve better...than DO something besides talking and starting trouble with gossip.... thats an oldskool mentality that DJ battles will solve it....it doesnt solve anything but giving someone unqualified exposure.... and nobody is going to give that away without hard work and foundation.. organize better...throw better events..show people your talent let them decide because the fact is maybe youre not really as talented as you thought in your bedroom or basement playing tracks ....maybe youre not really as good as them.....all artist want to think of themselves as the best in the industry sometimes simple crowd stardom with just one event blinds DJs and gives this power drunk sensation with some artists who start believing this false sense of entitlement without earning it ... realizing that it takes many years to build a fan base following in the entertainment industry with an absolute draw ( meaning the people that will come to see you) that the Promoters feel that you hold some kind of value that they will invest in you.....this takes time to prove ... it doesnt take rocket science to learn how to DJ ..... youre potentially wasting your time, all its showing is mediocrity, insecurity and lack of ambition in this industry.... DJing is no longer just an artform using records, beat matching and selection skill because the bottom line is if youre not good at these things to begin with youre just not going to be a good DJ ... its also the art of entertainment politics and marketing strategies...negativity, bad attitudes and disassociated conduct are not as welcomed or rewarded as you may think. Trust me on that one ....once you get yourself focusing on yourself and not worrying about others ... you might actually make it.
