If you could build a computer as nuanced, brilliant, sophisticated, and creative as the human brain; a robot as dexterous and beautiful as the human body, the value of that machine would be worth trillions of dollars. If you had a million of these machines, the creative and economic potential and possibility would me almost limitless. You certainly wouldnt leave these valuable machines out in the rain and the cold to rust and corrode. Yet we do this to 1 million homeless Americans everyday, and allow it to happen to millions of others across the globe. What if we instead decided to invest in the rehabilitation of these machines instead of leaving them on the side of the road like a worn out big screen TV? What if the millions of children who died in poverty every year were invested in instead of treated as not our children, and thus not our problem? The result would be staggering. It would alter the course of human history. It would change the entire world.
