If you could pick any era of Joy Division ever to go see live (Warsaw/Joy Division/the first New Order shows) which one would it be and why? Personally, id pick the Warsaw era. You would hear and be there for the transition of them from the old 70ies punk to the more post-punkish approach they were forming at the time (Ideal for Living EP Material), either that or the late 78/early 79 shows that havent been documented. The early 80 shows have been documented very well that i have no desire since i can already tell how great they were. Luckily, we still have this as a document from way back when. This pre-dates the Short Circuit EP that used to be the earliest recording we had/still have officially. 4 months after they formed as a band :)
