If you don’t believe that animals mourn the same way people do - TopicsExpress

If you don’t believe that animals mourn the same way people do watch this video and think again. Animals are a lot more humane than humans are ... A stray dog came across a dead puppy in a ditch somewhere in Middle East. Some people also came upon the dead puppy, but did nothing. They watched in awe instead when the stray began to circled and sniffed the lifeless pup pitifully left out to rot in the midday sun. The onlookers saw that the dog didnt turn away. She didnt leave the body to be torn apart by scavengers, much less expect the heartless humans, who was watching her intently, to do anything more than ... nothing. Im betting that thru experience she knew that they thought of no one else but themselves anyway. And so she took it upon herself to honor the dead pup by keeping him safe within the ground, where the sun wont be so harsh, and the Earth will welcome him in Her embrace forever. And why should it be so much of a surprise for the onlookers to witness what this dog is doing? Except thru physical appearance, just how much different is one form of life from another? We breathe, we live, we run joyfully when were happy, we turn inwards and become a tight ball of sorrow when were sad, we bite and fight back when were threatened, we want to melt into the Earth when were depressed, we panic and beg for our lives when we are fearful, we want to rip at our bodies when were mourning, we will always remember our dead... So tell me, human or animal, how much difference are we when it comes to the responses to experiences we go thru in Life? And so the stray took the time to gently push sand over the small corpse with her snout, carefully making sure no part was left exposed. The sand was most likely uncomfortable, and irritated her nose, but whatever extra strength she had she used here, to make sure the task was done right. She took the time to see that the little corpse was completely covered, and when she was satisfied, she simply turns, and silently walks away. No sermons. No ceremony. No quiet reflection at this impromptu canine burial service. Not even a bark. Whether she was a grieving mother, herself, or a kindhearted soul who found the strength and purpose to want to continue living, by extending comfort to those who needed it more, no one will ever know. But in the end, she had the Heart to do what no human would. ~bnk~ youtube/watch?v=nhyl2exehPQ
