If you doubt things are changing fast, imagine explaining todays world to somebody who has been in a coma for the past 6 years. My mom died in summer 2008, and Dad died in early 2009. If they came back for a day right now, what would they think! Mom wanted Obama to win the presidency so she would be happy about that. But how could I explain the rest? ................................................... Mom, our personal liberties have been undermined quite a bit. We are told we have no right to privacy. There are security cameras just about everywhere, and drones fly overhead, not as high as a plane. Some are unmanned. They are used overseas to kill people in war zones. Here were not sure exactly what they are used for. Douglas County says theirs are for code enforcement. Some people dont notice the drones. Some people dont notice the lines planes draw in the sky either. Those lines usually turn into clouds and rain or storms. The mainstream media (newspapers, TV, radio, news magazines, etc.) are owned by about 6 huge corporations. Only 6. They are run by the ruling elite. The courts have found news organizations can lie to the public, present lies as news, and thats okay. They are basically saying the news is just for entertainment. Fox News and CNN are the worst and have been caught making up news and news videos. The Supreme Court still has 9 members, but 5 of them have hijacked it, making all kinds of anti-freedom decisions. The courts have decided that cops have no responsibility to protect or defend people. Georgia Guidestones were erected by some rich guy, anonymously. It lists a bunch of guidelines engraved in tall granite towers/plaques (Stonehenge-ish) in the State of Georgia, in various languages. One advises limiting Earths population to half a billion people. Thats about 1/14th of what we have now. Many people say the Matrix movie (the 1st one) is an accurate portrayal of how earth is run. We are wage slaves and have been. People really shouldnt have to work like we do, so many hours per week. Instead of shortening the work week to fewer than 40 hours, a lot of people are required to work overtime now, called mandatory overtime. If they dont work the overtime, they get fired. Other people are offered only part time jobs and cannot become full timers. People today make less than we made in the 1960s. The minimum wage buys less. It is being raised but not to the $22 where it should be. The public has been empowered by the internet and social media. Facebook is my favorite but there is also Twitter and others. People share secrets and ideas and hunches and they ask each other questions. They share whats really happening in their areas. Some people (called trolls) try to disrupt all this. Some of those trolls are paid by the government or other members of the ruling elite. More people carry cell phones now and photograph cops, to help ensure decent treatment for everybody. There are many incidences of cops hurting or killing people for no reason. Lots of towns and cities getting sued and losing those lawsuits. The US government is really run by large corporations. The Rothschild family owns most of the worlds banking system. Our US wars have been to put Rothschild banks into the ocuntries we attacked, over the years. The Rockefeller family is bad but less powerful than Rothschilds. They say the Bush family, starting with Prescott, are German nazis. They are trying to make the US and the world into the 4th Reich. Prescotts father Samuel was big in Remington company. Their German last name was Scherff. There is a group photo showing Prescott and George Sr. when they were much younger, along with some nazi bigwig and others. There have been many threats, starting with 9/11 World Trade Center and a lot since then. Leaked government secrets seem to be saying Vice President Dick Cheney helped plan the 9/11 attacks. There have been more gun attacks and some faked attacks in public places, like movie theaters. Others have been scares about pandemics (ebola, etc.). They keep the public continually anxious and afraid. Anxiety is a big deal these days. Up to 80% of Americans are either poor or near to becoming poor right now. Around 2011 a group of hackers called Anonymous started publicizing various injustices online. That same year another group called Occupy Wall Street sprang up all over the country but it was co-opted pretty quickly, but both Anonymous and Occupy got more people to protest these days, in person and online. Right now, its anybodys guess. Various spokesmen put out various scenarios and weekly news but we dont know how this will turn out. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, This song at the end of the Northern Exposure TV series, in the closing scenes, feels like they were referring to the U.S. Some folks back in 1992 and even earlier saw a lot of this coming. Before my dad died in 2009, he said he didnt want his kids to face the future alone, but I told him I want to see how it turns out. I still do.
