If you fail the plan, the plan will fail you No truer words were spoken by an old football coach of mine. Im not much of a fan of writing programs... why? Rarely people stick to the agenda. They get side tracked, read an article in muscle and fiction... huh Muscle and fitness... whatever. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ For specific gains other than the old generic I wanna be fit (whatever it means), you need a specific plan. Oddly enough, Ive met 2 crossfit competitors, super high levels and they told me they have very specific periodized routines... The WODs are not really how they get to that level. In the guys own words: WODs are the goals not the means. Anyhow, If you lack (_________) fill in blank with either power, strength, mass, endurance, flexibility and/or other, better chart a course and stay on it. Odds are you are weak in certain areas due to the fact that they are things you have not done. Why? probably you didnt like them. Human nature. So log the damn workouts and emphasize those things you dont like. And keep doing them. How can you track results? easy! Track the freaking results! (I get paid by people to come up with enlightened ideas like that). Amazing how so few people do that and think they know what they are doing. BTW anybody who tells you dont worry, I know what Im doing... start worrying. You ask them some specific question about their training and they are clueless. Believe and stay the course, plot a course and stay on it with your keystone exercises. Accessorize with complimentary exercises for sake of sanity if you need...
