If you fill your head with garbage, youre going to get garbage. Today, what goes in must come out. You cant expect to feed on mess and drama, things that make you feel bad and perceive the world bad, but expect to have a positive outlook on your life. You cant expect to have peace and not feel worked up and anxious if garbage is all youre seeing and listening to. It doesnt work like that. Change what youre feeding on. The problem isnt the world, the problem is how youre reacting to it, how youre letting it shape and mold you. Stop allowing everything into your eye gates and ear gates. Mess gets in because you look and listen to it. When you turn away from it and focus on goodness, holiness, righteousness, peace, joy, etc, thats what you become. You are what you allow into your life. Start taking more time to separate yourself and see what is really getting into your heart and soul. Ask God to show you where and how the junk is getting in. Then, youll be able to experience the true peace of God. But not until you clean and clear out some things.
