According to the discussion board re that CBC article I posted, McDonalds cancelling their contract is really only part of the story, as this film reveals. Its hard to know exactly where to begin after watching this NFB documentary, and my thanks go to producer Min Sook Lee and the National Film Board for such a sensitive and insightful portrayal of the working conditions of Mexican migrant workers in Canada. Produced in 2004, I wonder how things stand currently with regard to workers rights in Leamington, would be curious to know more.. does anyone know where these where the individuals are today, and whether perhaps working conditions have - hopefully - improved as the community transitions into a post-Heinz era?
