If you have a minute, please sign this petition ! The NYPD is notoriously known for harassing, stopping and frisking young African American & Latino men for no reason. Eric Garners case is no different. Eric was harassed, racially profiled, choked and eventually killed by 5 police officers. The NYPD killed a father, a husband and ultimately an innocent Black man. I already know that the NYPD are going to use the I felt threatened by him excuse when addressing the matter because he is a tall and 400 pound man. However, that point comes off invalid because if there is 5 police officers choking him, beating him and smashing his face into the ground while he is PLEADING you to stop, how can you feel threatened? You guys automatically have the upper hand because you guys are on top of him and on top of that its 5 police officers versus 1 person. Mr. Garner pleaded and begged for them to stop choking him and they failed to listen. He told them numerous times that he could no longer breathe and the NYPD officers still didnt care.They kept choking him and kept smashing his face into the ground until he couldnt breath no more and eventually died. The NYPD are cruel, vicious and and are monsters in disguise. Theyre not helping our communities whatsoever. Theyre doing more harm more than good. What happened to protect and serve? Theyre killing our young Black and Latino men simply because they can and are getting away with it. NYPD needs to take responsibility & accountability for what theyve done to Erics family and his loved ones. I am tired of hearing about police brutality amongst our Black and Latino men. It seems like everyone has to live in fear and thats not right. The same people that should be helping us are the same people who turn around and kill us. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH already. All I ask is that you sign this petition and share it. We must get justice for our slain victims because if we dont do it, then who the hell will?
