If you have an elderly neighbor - please go knock on their door and ask if anyone has recently knocked on their door offering to buy their home. A couple of outfits have been doorknocking in Garden Oaks today (and often throughout the last couple of weeks, from what Im told) and are not always offering fair market value. It is unethical and unfair to cheat anyone out of their rightful retirement, inheritance or lifetime of hard work in mortgage payments paid, and I want to make sure that our neighbors are educated and aware. Lets help our neighbors get fair market value for their homes. The builders can well afford fair market value, but some will offer less than fair market value. Please - hear me now and listen to me later - do you really think someone going from door to door is going to make a fair market offer? Call one of your area realtors - someone you trust - and there are a host of us in the neighborhood ! We wont charge you a penny to tell you what we think your home or lot is worth - and you can do with the information as you please. Good night neighbors !
