If you have ever heard a choir process around a church singing - TopicsExpress

If you have ever heard a choir process around a church singing “Christ is Made the Sure Foundation,” or carried a palm in hand as you sang “All Glory, Laud and Honor,” or just bounced along humming “Good King Wenceslas” the day after Christmas, take a moment today to remember John Mason Neale, the 19th-century English priest, scholar and translator whose magnificent and prolific works are among my favorites in the Western musical tradition, and whose feast day is observed in the Episcopal Church today, August 7. Almighty God, beautiful in majesty, majestic in holiness, who Hast shown us the splendor of creation in the work of thy servant John Mason Neale: Teach us to drive from the world the ugliness of chaos and disorder, that our eyes may not be blind to thy glory, and that at length everyone may know the inexhaustible richness of thy new creation in Jesus Christ our Lord; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. justus.anglican.org/resources/bio/220.html
