If you have intentions of flying with LIAT in the coming days then - TopicsExpress

If you have intentions of flying with LIAT in the coming days then pack some extra patience in a carry on. Spending 3 days to get from Barbados to Tortola is really unacceptable. What is most annoying is that all decisions are being made by the HQ in Antigua and so passengers sit for hours in an airport waiting for updates. Close to midnight you are told that all the options that they just discussed with you are no longer available or the charter to take passengers to Tortola is now taking passengers to other destinations. You proceed to a hotel for the night only to return early the next morning to go through the same experience again. I certainly understand the frustration of the staff and their decision to walk off leaving hundreds of passengers stranded. They are helpless and unable to give any assurance to passengers because all decisions are made in Antigua. The level of micromanagement in that organization is alarming and if LIAT is to recover from all this then a serious look into its operations is needed. With no other choices available to us we just sit and wait, get frustrated, angry and finally too exhausted to even walk to the counter to try to find someone who will give you eye contact.
