If you have kids, they will pick up your health and fitness habits. If you make exercise look fun, they will want to exercise too! If you make it look miserable, they will think it is miserable too. If you eat healthy, you are teaching them healthy habits, but if you dont eat healthy...well, you get the point. Im not a parent yet but from what I can tell, your whole life changes when you have kids...you get 10X busier than you were before, constantly running around, spending less time on you and more time on everyone else in your family. So how can you fit in a workout, and prepping meals for the week...you dont even have time to get done what is already on your list!! Make physical activities part of your family activities. Instead of taking your kids to the movies on Saturday go Ice-skating, mini-golfing, or swimming. Let your kids help you plan and prep healthy meals for the week on Sundays and teach them about which foods are healthy...take them grocery shopping with you and have them help you in the kitchen! Theres a reason that when my mom asked me what I wanted in my lunchbox when I was 6 years old I told her I wanted red pepper strips...that didnt just happen but I never saw my mom eating cookies and chips , so naturally, I wanted what she was eating for a snack and we never had that kind of junk food readily available in my house. If I had wanted chips or cookies my mom would have bought it for me, but I hardly ever asked for it because it just wasnt something we ate at my house and I didnt really know the difference... You can make a difference in your kids lives and make a difference in your life too!
