Baptism is for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38), is part of the new birth (John 3:5), saves you (1 Peter 3:21) and your sins are washed away at baptism (Acts 22:16). The Apostle Paul was not saved on the Road to Damascus just by confessing Jesus as Lord as most of Christianity teaches. It wasnt until Ananias came to him 3 days after his Damascus road experience that he was saved. Ananias told him to Arise, and be baptized and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of The Lord in Acts 22:16. If Paul was saved on the Road to Damascus, Ananias would not have been able to tell him that he still had sins to be washed away in baptism 3 days later. Dont let anyone deceive you!!! You MUST be baptized in Jesus name!!
