If you have not heard of Wreaths Across America please check out their site its a fantastic group whos mission is to have a Wreath placed on ever United States Veterans grave around the world. This year the weather when the convoy started out in Harrington, Maine was snow and the snow and rain followed us to Maryland. The convoy did not cancel any of the events that were scheduled due to weather. The convoy consisted of the tractor-trailers with the Wreaths, Maine State Police, Westbrook, Maine Police Department, Gold and Blue Star Families, Maine Civil Air Patrol, Worcester Wreath Company and family, Maine Governor & Mrs. LePage ( I should note that once again Mrs. LePage was on one of the trikes for this convoy) American Legion Riders, Blue Knights, PGR, Mass. State Police, New Jersey State Police, Maryland State Police, DC Metro Police Motors, United States Park Police, Unites States Park Police Motors, United States Pentagon Police and Motors, and all State, County and Local police, fire and EMS who assisted with this convoy a heart warm thanks. A big thanks also to the American Legions, VFW, Mikes Sub Shops, Middletown Fire and Branchville Fire Departments for their hospitality. The tractor- trailers are all donated, with a driver to WAA. Some of the companies who do this are WalMart, Schneider trucking, Poland Springs, Hannaford Foods to name a few. This convoy has become addicting to us and if this was your first time either with the convoy, as one of the stops we made or placing wreaths your mostly addicted and will be with us in 2015. If you are looking for a New Year Resolution how about helping this group out with the 2015 mission of not only covering the graves we did this year but more in 2015. This year a little more than 2 million Wreaths were placed out around the world for our Veterans this year.
